Well ive been trying to download DivX codec
but when it gets to 94% my laptop slows down and tells me about a corrupt file and then says it carrying on downloading but the % stays the same but does not carry on i can download it again and it finshes. but if i try to run the .exe file and says it got missing files anyone know whats wrong with it other information if your asking : Ive got Windows XP ive tired downloading diffrent versions of Divx codec and it still says it a virus |

First off, make sure you are downloading the DivX Codec from the official DivX website:
http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/codec/ Are you using a download manager or accelerator? It may be corrupting the file. Try using an alternate download program, or abstain from using the program altogether for the download. |

Well am saving on onto my desktop so i can move it about onto my friends laptop who has no idea what she is doing on it but that should not make a diffrence if am just downloading it which saves into tempery internet files or saving it onto my desktop should it?
