serious help need.
i dont know what to do. i own a linksys wireless router and i was trying to to get my dell insperion to connect to it wirelessly. so i when to search for wireless internet connections it found it when i clicked on it instead of giving me a window that ask for a network key it connected but it wont let me get on the internet. so i figured it was a wep problem. so i when back to ( i think its called windows zero connection utility) to view my wireless connections. then when to advanced settings then wireless networks the to the properties of the connection. i have a 26 character key. but its only showing 8 or 10 black dots that represent the password. when i try to enter it in it wont let me save it. when i click ok and go back in it. it gos back to the 8 or 10 numbers or letters instead of the 26 digit key. can anyone help me?

Re: serious help need.
First off, disable ALL encryption and MAC filtering and get it connected. Then add encryption as a separate step. I STRONGLY recommend WPA over WEP, it's a much more secure encryption.

Re: serious help need.
Yep, get it working with no encryption first, then add it in. That way you know it's strictly the encryption that's the issue if you can't connect. Makes it a lot easier to find out what's wrong.
