Cool Need some help with AVG

hi i'm new to this site and I had a few questions on how to completly delete/remove infected files, programs off of my virus vault safely. I ended up downloading a few monitoring programs on my pc(keylogger, and parental control program) to see what other people that are using it are doing.AVG is reconizing it as a trogan and I decided that i want rid of the spyware. I would greatly appreciate any recomendations, thanks

Re: Need some help with AVG

It is not uncommon for AV programs to detect various kinds of monitoring software as malicious, as it is not uncommon for people to use such legitimate programs for malicious purposes.

If you are the one who installed it on your computer, then it "should" be okay. Just make sure whatever you download comes from a proper source and that the monitoring software you downloaded was not infact impersonating (ala a real trojan).
