Downloading issue

Can't seem to download anything online. This is the message I get:

Windows has found a problem with this file

(Name)
(Publisher)

This file was blocked because it does not have a valid digitial signature that verifies its publisher.

I get this message when I try to download self help files, itunes, and everything else. I am running Windows XP...also have Panda internet security app.

Any ideas? Thanks

Configure the Panda IS application to allow them.

actually this was occuring before i installed panda. i have gone into both it and windows and enabled downloads from sites w/o valid digitial signatures but that doesn't help either.

i also get this message:

the publisher could not be verified. are you sure you want to run this software?
(name)
(publisher)
this file does not have a valid digitial signature that verifies its publisher. you should run run software from publishers you trust.

[run] [don't run]

when i click on run, i get the following message and the download aborts:

Error
the source file is corrupted

what browser are you using? try another browser and see what happens.

unfortunately for me, it happens in both IE and FireFox

what security programs are you running on your computer?

my IPs (SBC/Yahoo) internet security suite (basic) and Panda IS 2008.

temporary disable your sbc/yahoo security and see if you still have the problem.

still have the problem after disabling my IPs firewall. also, don't believe Panda is problem as this was occurring before i loaded this s/w app, which btw was from a cd.

Boot in Safe Mode with Networking and see if the problem still exists.
