[SOLVED] Two Computers Remote Controlled by Hacker Through Protected Router? How?!

We have a NetGear router, and recently bought a D-Link Switch. The two computers connected to the switch have some sort of intruder that keeps opening and closing applications.

I reset the router, changed password, etc.. and one computer still has this hacker clicking random things..

How in the hell does the high-end secured NetGear router be bypassed into connecting to all computers on the switch, and remote control the desktop? With security software on LOCKDOWN, even..

What should I do?!

ANy help would be appreciated, thanks!

Not enough information.

Unless you have opened ports, the computers in question are inviting any intruder in, the NAT layer of any SOHO router will stop requests at the door.

Re: Two Computers Remote Controlled by Hacker Through Protected Router? How?!

It's not happening on any other computer but two.. I think actually one.

The irony is we are both using the same microsoft mouse in a new trailer building.. could interferance between phones and whatnot cause a mouse freakoutage?

Ran Norton and Spybot, could only pick up cookies.

Tried net view, services, regedit, msconfig.. can't find anything.

Here's the weird thing.. it happened again this morning, so I unplugged my LAN adapter, restarted the computer into SAFE MODE with no network prompt, there is no wireless card installed on that computer.. and at startup the mouse starts moving and clicking again. Then it stops. Ran SpyBot.. nothing. Norton.. nothing as usual.

It's confusing and hasnt spread to the other computers, and that's what i'm trying to avoid.

Any help would be appreciated.. thanks!

Re: Two Computers Remote Controlled by Hacker Through Protected Router? How?!

SOLVED. It's my wireless mouse receiver thats picking up someone else's mouse. I disconnect it and nothing happens. I plug in a wired mouse and it works. We're right next to four apartment buildings and it's pouring.

Sweet. I knew Winblows didn't suck that much.

That's the problem with wireless peripherals, many have no encryption of any kind. I know that I've had issues with wireless mice here, so I only have one, on the main machine. My nearest neighbor is 400-500 feet away, so I don't worry about interference from that source.
