Changing Firewall Rules

I am using a Siemens SpeedStream 4200 DSL Modem/Router to connect to my ISP, Windstream. I use the firewall on the SpeedStream which has predefined protection levels, Off, Low, Medium, or High. I would like to modify the settings to block some additional ports and unblock others. I know how to make the changes, but I don't know what the individual rule names are so I can decide which rules to add.

Are there standardized definitions? If so, where can I find it?

I also know that I can use WEBMIN to assist in making these changes (if I'm not mistaken, it defines the rules in english rather than as numbers), but I do not know how to connect to the router from my computer. Does any one know how to do this?
