Why is traffic being routed through my computer?
What does it mean when your personal firewall on your PC (in this case
Zone Alarm) is giving you continuous alerts (one almost every second) that it has blocked traffic going to/from ANOTHER computer in your subnet to/from a computer somewhere out on the internet? There is about 6 computers that access the internet through a shared wireless router, but none of them are networked. One of them is routing traffic (or trying to) through my computer and I dont know how or why, this started happening all of a sudden. Update: I changed my IP (made it static) and still happening. So then I found a program to change my MAC address of my wireless adapter and then it stopped. Then I got pop-up that zone alarm blocked 2 attempts from this same computer on the subnet to access my computer. Is one of my housemates trying to use me as a proxy? Or do I have a wireless ad-hoc on my computer that I am not aware of and this other computer is accidently connecting to it? I dont see any ad-hoc on my network connections list. ![]() |

Re: Why is traffic being routed through my computer?
You most likely have malware on your machine.
