Pop UPS!!!!

Hi there

I run Mozilla Firefox and have windows defender, AD-Aware SE and Spy bot search and Destroy software, yet i STILL get pop ups from ''internet explorer'' which i only used temporarily when i first got my comp, now i only use Firefox.

Is there a program that stops these pop ups?? and does ms defender run while your online without opening it. ?

any help much appreciated

If you are getting IE popups when you are not even using it then your system has more than likely been hijacked and you probably have a BHO installed that is launching IE or some other DLL that is in memory.

If you haven't been rootkit'd than I'll be surprised.
