Problems With One Computer...

Well, about a week ago, my internet started going VERY slow.
At first I thought it was just a problem with my ISP, and that it would be fixed.
It's been getting worse every day...
I'm at the point, where the ONLY time I get a good connection, is for 30 mins after I reboot my computer and modem >.<

My friend recently let me borrow his laptop for things, his laptop is able to use the internet FINE!

I play a -lot- of online games, and can't log in without all the reboots...
Once I'm online in a game, however, I have no lag or anything, which I find quite weird o.O

So I've come to the conclusion, that it MUST be something wrong with my computer.

Currently, as far as security goes, I'm using...
XoftSpySE for General Spyware scanning.
RegCure for Registry stuff.
CA Anti-virus for Anti-virus.

For some reason, XoftSpySE ALWAYS has three spyware infections, that are the same every time I scan....
So that is definitely a bad thing....

Anyway!
I need better Spyware/Registry scanners/cleaners, as well as firewalls and things, it seems.

What's suggested?
Will it cost me?
I can pay if I have to, but don't really want to if I don't have to >.<

Please let me know ANYTHING I can do to fix my problem, and any info on what's wrong is cool too >.<

Also, I prefer programs that don't require a lot of attention...
I've had firewalls before where they had asked me tons of things of what to do with each thing that comes to it >.<
