Limiting/Restricting Program Internet Access

I'm just wondering if I can do it with Avast! or AVG or the Windows Firewall. Or if I can't could you suggest to me a program that could?

In Avast you can right click the little blue ball on the start menu bar and turn off "on access protection control".

Not sure if this is what you are asking for.

Thanks for the reply, but that's not exactly what I meant, I meant was that there was this program on my computer which was connecting to the Internet, I'd like to be able to stop it from doing that, or blocking it.

I'm hoping that there is a way to prevent this using conventional means. Thanks again.

A good firewall like Zone alarm and Comodo will be able to block programs form acessing the web (the link for comodo is in my sig).
