[SOLVED] Need a New Firewall

I recently got rid of my old firewall and it was great but I don't feel like paying for a firewall anymore. It was the AVG firewall. Does anyone know of a free ware firewall that is VERY user friendly and also a good protector? I tried the Comodo firewall but couldn't get it to work with my wireless router. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi,

I would use either PC Tools Firewall Plus
or Comodo

They do come highly recommended.

I used Sygate personal firewall (free version) for the longest time and it was very user friendly, imo.

Wow, I was just about to recommend it to you. I have used it before but its a pain if you are behind a proxy. :)

yea, after their trial worked so well, i got the anti-virus. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS. it didn't find a virus and became very intrusive. i uninstalled it and got avg free edition and sygate personal firewall which i am very happy with.
