VPN basics
Ok everyone,
If I have firewalls, one at the main site and one at the remote, does the VPN tunnel on each end have to be run on the same encryption protocol? Such as, a PIX on one end runnning IPsec and an 1841 on the other has to be running IPsec, or can it have 3DES? Also, the throughput....does it have to match as well? As in, if the PIX is running 100mbps, does the other end have to run 100mbps? Or can it run 450mbps on the PIX and 100 mbps on the 1841? Thanks. |
