ZA subscription ended. Renew or move on?
Ok, so my ZoneAlarm Update Service Subscription ended today. So the question is keep ZoneAlarm Security Suite 7 (which many of you will say to do) or move on to something hopefully better? Anyway pros and cons of ZA or other suggested software.
Thanks, Richard |

Re: ZA subscription ended. Renew or move on?
Personally I'd stick with ZA. All the others just do my head in! It works don't it? Never had a break in yet... what is it now, three years?

Re: ZA subscription ended. Renew or move on?
I would either stay with ZoneAlarm (which was acquired by Check Point Software back in 2004) or move on to either Norton Internet Security 2007, or a set of free tools: Comodo Firewall Pro, AntiVir PE Classic, SpywareGuard, SpywareBlaster, Spybot-Search & Destroy, and Ad-Aware SE Personal.

Re: ZA subscription ended. Renew or move on?
I was using Zone Alarm Security Suite, but the license ended. I am now using AVG AntiVirus/Antispyware as my main AntiVirus/AntiSpyware tools. I also use AOL AVS with the real time monitor turned off and AntiVir with the resident virus gaurd turned off as on demand antivirus scans to compliment and layer my security. I also use comodo as my firewall. Couple these with Windows defender, trojun hunter, and blacklight I think you are probably pretty safe. They are all free.
Just my 2 cents. Rick |
