Spam filtering
I work for a semi large small business, approximatley 40 computers. Each computer has it's own email account, which until recently has been fine. In the past week several of my co-workers have been recieving random spams about increasing thier ***** sizes, invest in (fill in the blank), and the like. Is there any way, on a server level, to block these kinds of emails?

all i cn say is junk emails are always gonna be there, you wouldnt be able to get rid of all them. However there may be some sort of filtering you could set to stop the majority, im not sure what this is on server level, ANYONE????

Do you use pop3 accounts on the computers? IF you connect to one of the major hosting sites they usually have spam filtering.
However if each machine connects POP3, I am unsure of how you can enable server spam filtering. If you are using Exchange or SBS thou, I highly recommend Brightmail from Symantec. I only have started using this recently on clients and it has been working fairly well. |
