Please Help A Newb Out
Helllooo everyone...
I just got my 2nd computer about 3 days ago, and I bought a Wireless G Linksys router. I am having huge problems already, and I have no idea what to do. Heres my problem: It seems that the computer thats directly connected to the router gets the better part of the connection. I have a 4mb connection, but the wireless labtop that I have tried to connect to the router seems like its running on 56k Also, its a HUUUGEEE problem when I try to play a game on the wireless comp... I lag spike about every 30 seconds and its reallly getting frustrating I even lag when im not using the connection on the other computer thats connected to the router directly. Can someone please help me out to get me back on my feet Thank you in advance |

I don't think it's contention between the computers, more likely you have some sort of interference on the wireless link. Have you changed the channel, and checked for things like wireless phones, etc. that might impact the connection?
