Red Faced screwd up router

,
Hi new to this forum, many moons ago successfully set up a speedstream 2604 to our home computer to allow access for our son for his PS2, went really well, then our son got a computer able to hook that up, then the x-box came alon plug and play, after many years of use my sons ps2 eventually died able to fix it three times then dead!!, so we got him a ps2 slim, along with socom 3, that is when all the trouble started, he could not communicate on line, so what do I do???, I of course wrote down all the settings before messing with it!!, our main computer lost connection!! got that back but all favorites and email lost because I changed the friggen ports!!! , now all I need to know is the procedure for resetting my router to factory specs and the I am going to re-install as if I just got the router please help!!

TIA Patricia

Hi, and welcome to TSF. I am not familiar with that particular router, but as most go, there is a small hole in the back of the router next to the power connector, that will allow you to press and hold the reset switch behind (just inside). Holding that reset as you plug in the power adaptor should default to factory-fresh in most units. Now before you try that, If you can still get into the router homepage, you may find a software default setting in the router interface. I would try that first myself, but either should be effective. Check the instructions if you have them, you can probably find them online too at the manufacturers website.

Normally, holding the reset button for 10 seconds or more resets a router to factory defaults.
