Bios/Post Annoyance
Long story. Installed Router, ISP failed to migrate me to the service using the supplied router. Cancelled the migration. Removed router.
ON Post the screen shows it is searching for the LAN. To stop this, would entering the Bios and disabling the LAN Function, which is on the 'Onchip Device Function' solve this annoyance. The Bios is from Award. |

Yes,it should.
Won't hurt anything to disable it if your not using it. While your in there, make sure your boot priority isn't set to boot from LAN.

There is a little used feature called boot from lan. It lets you boot up from a network server. If it shows up in your boot order before your hard drive, it will look for one of these servers. Chances are, you do not have one.
I would remove this option from your boot in bios. In most case you set it to cdrom then hard drive or hard drive then cd.
