I have a Lynksys BEFSR11 serving two pc's The problem is I have recently upgraded to 10mb service but through the router we can only get 3-4mb even if one pc is idle or switched off ! However on connecting the cable modem directly to my own machine I can realise 8-9mb. Can anyone help me ?
Both pc's.. Gigabyte MB'S Athlon 2.8 Ram 1gb and 1.5gb I.S.P Blueyonder 10mb |

Have you checked the MTU setting in the router? I'm not real familiar with that particular model, I suppose it could be somewhat bandwidth limited. Check the Linksys site, I found this...

If it only handles a 10mbit connection, I'd guess that internally it could be limited to less total throughput, maybe that's the issue?
