Problem Setting up Linksys Router
I have Verizon DSL and just built a new pc and bought a router so I could have both of my pc's on line.
I have no issues with the connection on the new pc with out the router but when I try to install the router the set up software finds the internet connection find but once the router is connected it fails to find it. I have tried turning of the modem and resetting it I have tried resetting the router. I have released and renewed the ip several times. Nothing seems to work. Does any one have any advice for this problem? Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have. -Chris |

Linksys needs to be configured for PPPoE with your DSL username and password. Make sure you also select keep alives as well.
Power off everything. Power up the DSL modem, wait 2 minutes. Power up the router, wait 2 minutes. Power up the PC's and look for a connection. Do not use the DSL provided software to access the Internet, the PPPoE config should do it. JamesO |
