Router Connection kicks me..
Hi, I recently purchased a Belkin 4 port wired router.. I got it all set up to work on this computer, and one of my other computers. I'm running XP Pro on BOTH computers. And, well, I've been having problems with it. The internet works on both computers, but, every now and then, the connection will just drop.. I get kicked off of MSN Messenger, and, the internet won't work.. Then, all of a sudden, it will re-connect.
I don't really know what it could be. I have Norton Firewall, and my only guess is that the program and the router are having issues with eachother.. OH, and I only recently got it to work. It would work fine if I hooked my pc to the dsl modem, but, when I hooked it into the router, it wouldn't work at all. So, I unplugged both of them for about an hour, took a nap, then turned them on. Then, the internet worked as soon as I started it up.. Any ideas? |
