can see lan but can't get internet mail or ping
I have a wireless laptop accessing an access point connected to a wired router. It was working yesterday morning with no problems. Then it stopped being able to access internet/e-mail. It can't ping any website. It won't ping my DNS server. I can connect to my router. It does see other computers on our peer-to-peer network. I have tried everything I can think of. Changed to static IP address with no help. Ran Spybot and AVG. Spybot found some things and I fixed those. AVG didn't find anything. There are 2 other computers (1 laptop and 1 desktop) that are using the wireless access point and they are working fine. I have compared every setting I can think of looking at between this laptop and another laptop that is the exact same laptop and they are the same. I am at a loss! Please help

Open a DOS window and type:
IPCONFIG /ALL >C:\RESULT.TXT Open C:\RESULT.TXT with Notepad and copy/paste the entire results here. Also, do you have other protocols installed like NETBEUI? They will allow local file sharing, but not allow Internet access.
