Wink Disconnection Querie (Interestingly Weird)

I have encountered an interesting problem; i have a router which connects two computers to one another and the net, one wireless and one cable. It has all been running fine up until recently when i began to experience disconnection of programs (outlook etc.) on the cabled computer, this happened whenever the one connected via wireless would either connect or disconnect.
This has been a problem that i have read through many threads to solve and found no answers. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

You didn't supply any information that might help in a diagnosis here. Make/model of all the networking equipment, versions/patch levels of Windows, the exact error messages you receive, etc. What have you done to attempt to solve the problem?

Perhaps this is a common problem that was the initial reason for not posting more details.

Make/model:
DLink DI-614+ (router)
DLinkDWL-520+ (wireless connection)
Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet (cable connected computer)

Versions/patch levels of Windows: XP SP2

The exact error messages: None, except programs (Outlook etc) connected to the internet (on the cable machine) disconnected when connect/disconnect from wireless machine.

Have you checked on a firmware update for your router? I have that router, and the laterst firmware for the 'B' model (single antenna) is 3.43 and the latest firmware for the 'A' model (dual antennas) is 2.33. If you aren't already up to the current version of firmware, that would be my first stop. This seems to clearly to be a router issue.

FYI, it's impossible to supply too much information, but easy to supply too little.

I agree. My friend's router had the same issue (DI-624) and a firmware update has made things work perfectly.
