Port Fowarding trouble with DI-604

Hello! I am posting here because I am at the end of my rope and no one seems to no why this isn't working!

Basically I'm trying to forward ports on my old D-Link DI-604 router so I can host games in the new game, Borderlands. I know the ports and I followed the directions on PortForwarding.com (found Here) and it doesn't work. Using a port checker and its still blocked.

I origionally thought this was a modem thing, but according to my ISP the Westtell modem we have does not block anything and has no firewall.

Then I thought it was a thing with Static IP, I had it set to Dynamic. So I set up a static as 192.168.0.103. I ran ipconfig and got all the info (though it listed Default Gateway and DNS Server as the same 192.168.0.1 which seems odd) and that still didn't work.

Finally I set my IP as the DMZ, and that dosn't even seem to work. I'm just about ready to fry this thing and go buy a new router, but first I wanted to see if anyone could help me out a bit. Oh and I'm runnin Windows 7 if that helps.

Thanks in advance

Re: Port Fowarding trouble with DI-604

What's the exact make/model of the modem? Please do this when connected directly to the modem with a wired connection, NOT through the router.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: Port Fowarding trouble with DI-604

Well I know its a Westell DLS2+ Rev. A however I think its bridged to the router so I can't just straight hook it up to any of the computers.

Re: Port Fowarding trouble with DI-604

Post a screen shot of the WAN configuration page of your router.

To post a screen shot of the active window, hold the Alt key and press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file. To upload it to TSG, open the full reply window and use the Manage Attachments button to upload it here.

From that image, it's not bridged, it is configured for automatic addressing.

Please try what I suggested.
