winsock catalog

not all base service providers could be found in the winsock catalog.

I seem to get winspck errors even after I have repaired winsock. If I rebook, it is fixed. After I am on the network awhile, winsock catalog is corrupted.

Any ideas?

Sounds like malware, I'd suggest you start by running a complete virus scan, then download and run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and fix anything it finds.

Finally, let's do a stack repair.

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2/SP3.

Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following commands, each followed by the Enter key:

Note: Type only the text in bold for the following commands.

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults, type: netsh int ip reset reset.log

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults, type: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reboot the machine.
