2 networks to one
I have a two storey house and I had major problem of getting the wireless signal to pass successfully to the second floor. Now I have A-Link RR24AP ADLS router downstairs and D-Link DI-524 router upstairs and they are connected over an ethernet cable. Hence I have two separate wireless networks at my house. Is it possible to 'integrate' these networks so that they would look like one wireless network and I do not have to switch from 'upstairs network' to 'downstairs network' when moving from upstairs to downstairs in my house?
The second challenge I have is that when my Dlink DI-624+ router situated in upstairs went broke, I took my old DI-524 router in use and now with the abobe mentioned setup my internet radio does not connect to DI-524 (upstairs) network any more. I have connected the ethernet cable from RR24AP port nr. 1 to the DI-524 WAN-port. thanks in advance for any valuable advice, |

Re: 2 networks to one
I used to have something like this. Downstairs I had a wireless router and ran a Cat5 cable outside to the second floor and connected it to another wireless tourer, but instead of using the WAN port I plugged it into one of the LAN ports, effectively making it a wireless repeater for the first router.

Re: 2 networks to one
Connect the cat5 cable from 1st router lan to 2nd router lan and disable the DHCP server in the second router and also match the wireless settings with the first router(This is not repeating mode but it will suite your network).
