Multiple (TONS) of Tunnel Adapters

I have 50 tunnel adapters show up in ipconfig /all. I'm not sure why they are there, what they do, if they are a security risk, etc. I would appreciate help fixing this! here is ipconfig /all (the top of it is cut off):

ISATAP tunnel adapters are basically your connections to IPV6 sites that tunnel through an IPV4 network. From a user perspective, they are doing exactly what they are supposed to do. Communicate with servers that have the newer IPV6 addressing.

I have trouble believing this is just business as usual. I have never had so many tunnel adapters in my ipconfig that I can't see my own MAC address... This is my girlfriends computer not mine.

So, if I'm just crazy and this is normal, then how do I get rid of all of these in my ipconfig so I can actually see the information at the top of the 50 item list.

If it's not normal, why is this happening and how can I fix it.

If this thread isn't in the most fitting topic, could a mod please move it?

I started with the same concern, and disabled it before I realized what it is. My Antivirus for one was using an IPV6 Teredo tunnel. My concern was how it managed to bypass my access control list on my Cisco IPV4 firewall. While a connection is active, you will see a regular IPV4 address appended to the end of the IPV6 address. If you would like to read up, I found these article of interest. The first three are from the same Microsoft author.

If it really bothers you, disable IPV6 from the network connections screen, and from the command windows with this command

netsh interface teredo set state disabled
