what ports does this application use, especially the search, and does the search points to anything besides earth.google.com

I believe it is port 80.

I think it may also do Bing, at least it does on mine.

Not that I know of. Can you post a screenshot? I may be thinking of a different thing in GE, however.

Ok, what did you do to fix the problem?
