Help with Remote Desktop PLEASE

Hi!

I have my work PC running OS Windows XP Pro SP 1.

I have my home laptop, running OS Windows Vista Ultimate.

I have a Netgear DG834G Wireless ASDL Router.

My internet provider is AOL.

I am trying to remote desktop from my laptop to my work PC but can't. I'm displayed with a blank screen and the IP address shown in a task bar at the top of the screen, nothing is brought over from my work PC, and eventually it says connection has been lost and dies.

My work colleague who is using the scenario, laptop from home, RDP to work PC, ISP is Sky using a Netgear DG934 router took my laptop home and connected to my PC without a problem.

Can anyone offer me any help, point me in the right direction of this and how I can get this working. I've read lots of things on port forwarding, VPN policies and I'm completely baffled.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Connie

Re: Help with Remote Desktop PLEASE

I'd recommend a real ISP. AOL has a funny idea of what kind of traffic they allow through their network.
