Connection Problem With PC and Airport Extreme

I've Been having this problem with my airport extreme and my pc. I have the pc directly connected with an Ethernet cable to the the extreme and everything works fine for the first few hours after I start up the PC but then the connection slows to a stop. I then reset the PC and then everything is fine again. Whats Going ON?

Re: Connection Problem With PC and Airport Extreme

I'd be looking for malware if a reset of the PC only fixes it.

Re: Connection Problem With PC and Airport Extreme

You could use a program like wireshark to analyze the traffic when it starts to slow down.

Re: Connection Problem With PC and Airport Extreme

I don't think its malware. I've done pretty though scans, and why would malware not slow down the internet (other pc's using the wifi run at regular speed) or slow down the processing (system doesn't run slow).

I'd like to use wireshark, but I'm not really familiar enough with tcp/ip protocols to analyze the results

Re: Connection Problem With PC and Airport Extreme

Can you get into safe mode with networking? See if it does the same thing then
