Mobile IP and Gigaset router
Hi,
I have a Gigaset SE551 wireless router at home and a job laptop using Mobile IP as part of the VPN solution (Secgo). I previously had a Dlink DI524 which worked fine, but it is now "diseased". So, my user friendly support dpt tells me that I must open the 434 port on my router to fix it and "...anyway, remote usage is out of scope for our services..." . I've however tried it without success. Any ideas, anyone? O |

Re: Mobile IP and Gigaset router
Here's a detailed guide how to port forward port 21 for FTP. The process will be identical for your port, just change the service name to VPN and the port to 434 in the instructions.

Re: Mobile IP and Gigaset router
Not sure what to tell you, that's the correct port. Try turning off the SPI firewall on the router and see if that changes things.
