No internet connection through router modem okay

Windows XP SP3
DIR-655
Westell 6100 DSL
Microtrend IS 2008 installed/uninstalled

The problem is, this one computer lost it's internet connection and access to the router. However, when I plug it directly to the modem, the internet works.
The wireless connections are fine and the three other PC's work fine and can see the computer in question on the network.

When it is connected to the router and not working, a winsock error is reported on a diagnostic test of the network adapter. Reseting the winsock error per this forum was no help. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: No internet connection through router modem okay

Check your IP settings to see if your host is trying to connect to the internet public address assigned by your ISP and not your routers address.
