Re: virtual router specifications?

Can you provide less details?

What do you want to do .. that makes no sence. You want to build a router? go download pfsense and install it in vmware.

Re: virtual router specifications?

what are you calling a virtual router?

There is no such term as a virtual router. Do you mean setting up a router on a virtual platform like vmware?

Re: virtual router specifications?

Perhaps you should ask your instructor for assistance. If we do the assignment, you still won't know any more than you do now.

Arrow Re: virtual router specifications?

yea right :) ! even i wasn thinkin f gettin the whole lot done here.. well its to simulate a roting protocol on a irtual platform like ns2 to show the network packet traffic and the working of a router hence the term virtual router..
:) i ll keep askin more doubts as they come! lets start with this one..
how do i log my eors and audit trail with ns2? do i have flat files in ns2?where do i store this?

Re: virtual router specifications?

Thats not a virtual router, you are using emulation software to virtualize a newtwork.

I think your going to fail this class.

Re: virtual router specifications?

The first thing when I saw "virtual router" I thought it said "virtual server", LOL.
