No Default Gateway?! any suggestions
hi,
i'm trying to connect to my home network, and suddenly, on one laptop only, i cannot load any pages. ipconfig seems to say that i'm connected through ethernet adapter local area connection, (i.e. all ip addresses and values correct compared to my other working computer) But it also shows more information about tunnel adapter pseudo-interface because it has ipv6 installed. The cmd output is: Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::ffff:ffff:fffd%4 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : Tunnel adapter Automatic Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : houseofthefun150 IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::5efe:192.168.1.7%2 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : Tunnel adapter Automatic Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : houseofthefun150 IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::5efe:192.168.1.5%2 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : As you can see, there is no default gateway for any of them, i'#m thinking this may be the problem. i'm connected to the router, as i can access settings page from the known default gateway IP. When i try to repair the connection, it says something like: cannot repair connection as TCP/IP is not enabled. But in the properties menu, TCP/IP is enabled. I tried to reset the TCP/IP stack using the netsh int ip reset command, but didn't seem to do anything. Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Really don't want to have to resort to reinstalling windows as it's not my computer; just trying to fix it for a friend. I'm all out of ideas, thanks |
