Limited speed settings in router

I am searching for a new router. I want a router there i can limit the internet speed for a specific ip/mac adress. Is that possible with any router?

Re: Limited speed settings in router

It's not possible with most standard SOHO routers, however I believe DD-WRT 3rd party firmware will do this kind of limiting. Obviously, you'll need a router that's compatible, check their compatibility list and pick one that sounds good.

Re: Limited speed settings in router

I can't find anything but an entry in the compatibility table, so maybe it's not as compatible as it might be. I'd be shopping for one that's more compatible with DD-WRT.
