Belkin Router Security Help

Hi, I think I posted this on the wrong forum subject so I'm reposting it here, sorry:

HI, I have a belkin F5D7230-4 6000 router on my desktop computer. I told my friend she could use my dsl to connect her laptop to the internet. I've allowed her to do this a few months ago with no problems. Now it's showing a lock on my router when her computer detects it. I do not have it password protected, do I just need to disable the secutiry setting in order for her to connect? I noticed it's enabled, but I know it was disabled before. Thanks!

Re: Belkin Router Security Help

for your own sake you should always have your wireless password protected with at least WPA settings

you can reset the router to its default setting by pressing a little buuton on the back of router ith the tip of a pencil or a pen for around 30 secs while it plugged in

after its reset go back into the encryption settings and set it to WPA and the longer the password, the better but just make sure you can remember it and write it down. If you feel that you don't want her to know the password just input it manually after you search for the router and put it so that whenever he computer detects the router it'll automatically connect
