IP and connection problems
Hi all,
The problem i'm having is that my desk top i'm using as the server to my home network is nolonger connecting and when i go to type in ipconfig to see if it's connecting nothing comes up, it's not connecting to an ip address and now i can't get any of my other computers to connect to my printers or my plotter. I'm running the server computer off an at&t modem to a Lynksys router that's connecting everything from my netgear wireless router to an airlink printer router, Please help me figure out whats wrong. Re: IP and connection problems
The red X means is disabled. The yellow usually means that there is a problem with the device it is kind of working but not there. Right click on the Broadcom and see if you have an option to choose enable

Re: IP and connection problems
Double click on My Network Places. Click Double click on computers near me. If you see your other computers then double click on them and see if you can see the printer and plotter provided that they are still set as a shared device. ( This is assuming you are using Windows 2000) You didn't mention operating system of your computers.

Re: IP and connection problems
It won't connect again but I do get ip addresses. I'm able to get on with my wireless laptop which is still connected to the modem and the router but when i do ipconfig the ip addresses are different than what's on my desktop, shouldn't they see the same ip address since they are on the same network? by the way i'm using XP.
