routing trouble

hey, i have a belkin n wireless router at my college dorm room. we have to log in with a user name to get on the network here but for some reason it doesnt work through my router. if i plug the ethernet cable in it works and i can sign in. when i try to sign in with wireless, it keeps taking me to a page telling me i need this cisco clean access agent software which i already have installed. this software pops up when i plug the ethernet cable in and allows a quick log-in to the network, but i am unable to do anything with it when connected to the belkin router. i have managed to get wireless with this router before but this has been a constant problem that fades in and out. im on a vista laptop by the way. thanks

Re: routing trouble

Talk to the college IT folks, it depends on the specific network you're accessing.

Re: routing trouble

It is important to note that we really can not assist in circumventing any sort of network configuration or setup which the college IT folks have put into place. Restrictions are in place in college networks for numerous reasons, all of them very good and important.

The only thing to really get it set up properly is as Johnwill says - talk to the college IT department and find out from them how to set it up to work properly with the college network.
