How do i set up a wireless network? Change password?

Ok, first, my uncle got an extra speedstream router from sympatico so he gave it to me and i'm trying to set up a wireless network. i have 1 computer connected to the router with ethernet and another through wireless.

OK, so far so good, this is for a home network, for lan games and stuff, not internet. i use my wireless network and i see my own network is unsecured!!! How do i set a password to the network?

You access the router's configuration pages in the wireless setup section. Using the exact model of that router, look for a user's manual.

i know. even though i access the page, how is the router gonna know that it should set a password on the network since i'm using dialup, computer direct to phone line?

umm sorry, i'm not, i figured i can't share dialuip that's just stupid now i'm trying to figure out how to get file and printer sharing to wrok on zonealarm.

You can share a dial-up connection, you would be using ICS I suspect.

Take a look at this Microsoft ICS (Internet Connection Sharing tutorial.

You need to put your subnet in the trusted zone for the firewall to allow file/print sharing.
