Access a IP address from the Outside World
I need help in setting up a way that a support company can access a machine which has a IP address. Want to allow this company to access this machine only. Really do not want to set them up on the network to see all the server or data. Can someone please help? This is for a server that is running SERVER 2003.

Re: Access a IP address from the Outside World
Look into extranet...
I suggest VPN (Virtual Private Network) in basic terms a secure tunnel that uses the internet. You also have other protocols such as ftp, sftp/ssh, etc. that you may be able to use. As far as not allowing access to other resources on your server. Your gonna have to setup an access control system or authentication mechanisms on your server if not already implemented. Re: Access a IP address from the Outside World
You need to specify the exact network topology of your network with make/model information for any modems, routers, gateways, firewall appliances, etc.
