Linksys Wireless WRT54G2-Not Connecting
I'm attempting to set up a router in my dorm room so my room mates and I can connect. When I plug the router into the network it picks up there, and when I plug my computer into the router it picks up there, but when I try to set up the router/network for the room it says the router does not exist, where I am already connected to everything.

Re: Linksys Wireless WRT54G2-Not Connecting
Can you connect both computers with a wired connection?
When connected directly to the dorm room network, then again with the router in the picture, please do this on the attached computer. Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt: In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command: Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command. IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: Linksys Wireless WRT54G2-Not Connecting
Well, you have the exact same IP address each time. Since the lease start and end times are identical, I can only conclude that you posted two copies of the same IPCONFIG, not what I asked for.

Re: Linksys Wireless WRT54G2-Not Connecting
That's possible I'm sorry, had my roommate doing it while I was in class I'll run it again when I get back to my room. I mean erm...when I get a longer cable, Tuesday, I'll run it again tuesday. But like I said, I'm connected to the network, and the internet with and without the router, but I cant configure the router to be password protected because when I run the config program it says the router does not exist. Wasn't sure if I had made that clear.
