[SOLVED] Trouble with DHCP Relay all of the sudden
![]() We had some storms a few days ago that caused quite a bit of trouble with a couple of our servers. One was the DHCP server. Well earlier today we realized that DHCP addresses are ONLY being assigned to the same subnet with the DHCP server, which is 10.30.x.x. Dhcp relay has been running great for several months up until now. I've went through and verified my configurations and it all matches what I have documented when I originally set it up. THe dhcp server is a Netware server and I've unloaded and reloaded the service several times. I have not restarted the server totally yet. I've reset the switch, removed all settings and re-configured them again, but can't seem to get anything working. I noticed that one of our server IP's keeps coming up with an IP collison. That has recently just started too I think since I never noticed it before. Does this mean that another piece of equipment has the same IP address as this server all of the sudden? Has anyboyd else had this problem before? What else do you think I should look at? I'm stumped......

Did you try restarting everything?

Re: Trouble with DHCP Relay all of the sudden
I haven't since I realized DHCP had stopped working. It's a Netware server and I have unloaded and reloaded DHCPSRVR several times, but it hasn't helped. We'll have to wait till the end of the week to restart the server.
Right now, I just setup our Fiber switch to send out DHCP addresses to the non-local subnets so everybody can work for now. Hopefully, the server restart will fix it. I'll follow up later this week when we get the server rebooted. |

Re: Trouble with DHCP Relay all of the sudden
I think that would be my first attempt, but I haven't even seen Netware for years.
