Need Router Help!
Here's my problem:
I have a D-Link DI-604 router that I want to be able to connect my Xbox 360 and my labtop to so that they can both have an individual internet connection so that the two of them can be run online at the same time. In the past, I have had this all setup and running smoothly, but just recently I went on vacation and took my labtop with me. Now that I am back I tried to set it up once more but I cannot get the internet to work with them both. I know I have an internet connection because when I directly connect my labtop to my modem it works (and I'm on here, duh!). So that's not the problem. Also, when I try to run the Xbox Live Test on my 360, it says the DNS Test fails, and I forget what this means from my past encounters with it. So if anybody here knows what I should do to go about setting it all up so that I can achieve what I want I would be extremly thankful if you would tell me. Please hurry also! Thanks Again. |

Re: Need Router Help!
seems like a DNS failure, check to see if your laptop receiving dns from the DHCP, try pinging the DNS address.
if no reply from the ping, maybe the ISP's DNS servers are having problem
