Proxy Server

I am new to these things. I want to surf the net more anonomusly, and I have heard proxy servers are the best. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to set one up?

Thanks
Hunter

Re: Proxy Server

what i think you're after is a free web proxy which would mask where you're realy connecting from on the web. I don't think you'd really want to set one of these up yourself.

NOTE: If you're attempting to bypass a firewall/proxy/content filter by using one of these, you should beware that most 'good' network admins will log proxy traffic and not necessarily filter it out. You could be walking right into a trap. In other words, don't do this at work and make sure you read your 'Acceptable Usage Policy'.
