Port forwarding problems

I have a Sitecom DC 202 v3 Router and a fast cable connection. Whenever I try to forward a port by going to http://192.168.0.1/vs.htm, the internet at every computer in the house stops working and I have to reset the router and modem. This happens even before I actually change a port. Sometimes the router port page is not loaded at all, sometimes it does load but I disconnect from the internet shortly after.

I do know how to set a static IP or forward a port normally, and the router in my other house works just fine, but this one seems glitched. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

Re: Port forwarding problems

Sounds like a problem with the router. Have you tried resetting it to factory defaults and reconfiguring? How about upgrading the firmware to the latest available?

FWIW, the Sitecom site shows a V2 and a V4 model, but no V3 model.
