need help w/ connecting my desktop to my wireless network using a dgl-3420
ok so here's the deal,
i have a dgl-3420 wireless gaming adapter and from what I have read it can be used to connect PCs to a wireless network. My router is a dgl-4500, both are d-link brand. I have set up IP addresses manually and gone through all of the basic that d-link supplied on their website. Where i stand now is that my computer recognizes that i have a LAN but fails to connect to my router or the internet. I believe that i have followed all of the security directions correctly, i have even tried it w/o security, still no love. my desktop is running XP. my laptop connects no problem (Mac OSX) and even my iphone can connect without difficulty. i have a wpa-II security setup. so this is my last ditch attempt to get this badboy to work, i'd love to try anything new, so please enlighten me to the wonders of a wireless network. thank you ~k |
