Webcam and router
I have recently moved in with a friend and we wish to each be able to use our individual computers to access the internet.
We have a wireless router, bought a week ago to enable the dual working. It works fine, except when I plug in my webcam to my computer, I am unable to connect to the internet. My cam worked ok in my previous home, where I had a direct connection to a cable modem. My friend's computer also has a webcam and this works ok. We both use XP with Sp2 installed. Can anyone advise please? |

Re: Webcam and router
You probably have to port forward through the router. Without knowing anything about the webcam or the application you're using to view them, it's hard to be more specific. I use Yahoo Messenger and their webcam doesn't require any port forwarding.
