no-ip.info[moved from xp]
I had a no-ip account (free) to use when traveling in order to access my desktop from my lap top. My account expired. The icon disappeared. Anyone know how I can simply get it back w/out having to reset all my settings? Please help.

Re: no-ip.info[moved from xp]
You will need to have installed and running the No-IP DUC (Dynamic Update Client) program on your desktop (not laptop) to keep your account from expiring. The No-IP DUC program will "tickle" no-ip.com on a regular basis to let them know the service is still "wanted" and running. Make sure this program is running on the desktop at all times.
You can download No-IP DUC from the official website here. |

Nope, if it expired, and it was a free account, they simply erased it after about a month.

Re: no-ip.info[moved from xp]
Right forgot to mention that - you will need to setup an account again and then have No-IP DUC running. No-IP DUC unfortunately does not resurrect expired free accounts from the dead. Sorry.
