Hi,
I am doing a project on RTSP protocol (real time streaming protocol), like streaming audio on Real Player. Deals with play, pause, stop controls for streaming media... The features include: >> When an user clicks on the link to an audio(presentation description file containing lo-fidelity & hi-fidelity url links to the audio file) the browser(firefox 2) should start a helper application (my C++ prog) & pass the presentation file to it. My Q is : 1) How to reg an helper app in firefox 2 in Linux? 2) How to pass the file or file location to the player (my C++ prog). (both server and client on same machine). 3) What should the extension for the presentation file be? ( like .mp3 for an mp3 file ?? ) Plz help, am really stuck..:( |
