Netgear Router Blocking Sites While Using FlashGet
I am a user of the downloading manager FlashGet. Today I was downloading some files and all of a sudden they stopped right in the middle as if the web server went down. I attempted to type the url of the site into firefox and I was given the error 'The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.' I asked a few friends (one of which on the same ISP as me) and all had no problem getting to the site and downloading the files I was trying to download.
About an hour later I tried again and could get to the site and download the files so I starting downloading again and the same problems. Asked friends again and they had no problem downloading or viewing the site. Normally I would think this is my ISP but if I just download using firefox or even IE the files can be downloaded without an issue. This has led me to believe that something is off with my router (A netgear wireless-G router, WGR614. Also note I am connected wired). I can get to the site and download the files through a browser no problem but when using flashget access to the site becomes blocked for about an hour. I have checked at 192.168.1.1 but there is no option or anything that should be causing this. I also was using a different router a few months and never came across this problem. Wasn't until I used this particular site, using flashget and using my netgear router. Anyone have a clue what could be causing this issue? |

Re: Netgear Router Blocking Sites While Using FlashGet
Works fine without FlashGet. Just more of an inconvenience since I can queue up a bunch of downloads, pause them, etc. I just know it never used to do this with my other router so I'm unsure if theres something i'm overlooking with my current router.

Re: Netgear Router Blocking Sites While Using FlashGet
I'd do a google search on FLASHGET and router, see if you find someone that has solved the issue.
