Obtain Routers own IP Address.

Hi,

This may be an unusual request but I honestly am stumped.

For a beginners computing course I am undertaking I need to setup 3 routers online via Netlabs.

I have done everything fine (at least I hope so :) ).

However one final thing I need to do to test my setup is I need to put into each of the 3 routers a telnet command containing the IP address of the Router adjacent to it.

Each of my 3 routers I have been given 3 unique IP's and subnet masks named g0/0, s0/0/0 and s0/0/1.

My initial assumption was the g0/0 was the routers IP but inputting this as my adjacent's IP for this telnet command bring up an error.

My tutor is away until after new year which I am needing to have it completed before new year.

I have completed everything else that was needed except this single telnet IP Router checking command.

My guidance notes do not mention anyway how to obtain the routers IP or even act like it would be any problem to input (as any potentially difficult steps are explained in detail). Which is making me think it is something simple I am overlooking

Could anyone suggest on what command I could therefore use to obtain the routers own ip.

I have on one of the routers tried "show ip interface brief" command but this does not give anything that I do not have (I have attached a screen capture).

Thanks
Anthony

Re: Obtain Routers own IP Address.

The attached capture gives you the ip addresses of the router.

Try using a console on one of the other routers to telnet to this router.

Can you telnet to the other routers from this router?
